Client Overview
Koast & Co. is a jewelry brand specializing in handmade gold-plated pieces designed to feel luxurious while remaining practical for everyday wear. Their 2026 Summer collection focuses on effortless elegance with jewelry that complements a relaxed coastal lifestyle and maintains a polished, high-end look.
Project Objective
The goal of this photoshoot was to produce promotional imagery for the launch of Koast & Co.’s Summer collection. The visual direction aimed to highlight the versatility and elegance of the jewelry while capturing a seasonal aesthetic suitable for web, social media, and promotional marketing.
Creative Direction
The mood of the shoot was intentionally light, airy, and elegant, with a subtle beach-inspired tone. The concept leaned into the clean, beach girl aesthetic to include minimalist styling, natural textures, must have accessories, and soft lighting that emphasizes freshness and simplicity. The goal was to create images that feel effortless and real while allowing the jewelry itself to remain the focal point.
Production
The shoot took place at Atlantic Beach, North Carolina, using the natural coastal environment to reinforce the brand’s seasonal identity. All camera equipment was provided by Marq the Moment Creative Studio, while props and styling elements were sourced collaboratively between the Koast & Co. team and Marq the Moment. The location allowed the team to incorporate natural textures such as sand, sunlight, and coastal tones to complement the warm gold finish of the jewelry pieces.
Lighting Approach
Given the outdoor setting, the production relied primarily on natural sunlight to achieve the soft, luminous aesthetic desired for the campaign. Supplemental flash equipment was used when necessary to balance exposure and ensure that the jewelry maintained clarity and sparkle despite shifting environmental light conditions.
Post-Production Workflow
For this project, Koast & Co. chose to conduct their own post-production editing internally. However, the editing process was supported by guidance from Marq the Moment experts to ensure the final images maintained a consistent visual standard. The post-production work focused on subtle adjustments such as exposure balancing, color refinement, and light retouching to preserve the natural and airy tone established during the shoot.
Challenges & Solutions
One of the primary challenges during the shoot was backlighting caused by the sun’s position at Atlantic Beach during this time of year. This created potential exposure issues and unwanted glare on reflective surfaces. The team addressed this by integrating flash lighting to fill shadows and balance highlights. Minor post-production adjustments were also used to refine contrast and maintain the soft, luminous look of the images.
Outcome
The final imagery successfully captures the intended seasonal mood – elegant, coastal, and effortlessly modern. The images highlight the craftsmanship of the gold-plated jewelry while aligning with Koast & Co.’s brand identity and target aesthetic.
